Recognized as the largest nautical salon in the south of Brazil, the expectation is for growth for the 2019 edition of the Marina Itajaí Nautical Salon. There are already around 80 participating brands, generating approximately R $ 60 million in business. The board also expects around 15,000 visitors.
Manufacturers of national and international vessels have already signaled their participation in the nautical fair motivated, especially, by the quality of the public of the first editions, by the commercial contacts and by the generation of business. The Government of Itajaí, through the Secretariat of Tourism, also confirmed its support for the contribution of the event to the promotion of the segment in the municipality, which is already recognized as a nautical pole in Santa Catarina.
“The Secretariat of Tourism wishes to provide all assistance to this event, which is certainly already part of the municipality's calendar. Undoubtedly, the tourist trade is privileged with this event that promotes the entire sector chain and increasingly develops this important nautical movement ”, said Itajaí Tourism Secretary Evandro Neiva.
Among the novelties pointed out for the 4th edition of the Marina Itajaí Nautical Salon, there is an increase in the number of stands. The nautical fair will have about 10 new areas both in dry space and wet spaces for boats. The increase in the gastronomic area will also be another highlight with new foodtrucks options, in addition to two international restaurants, the already recognized Zephyr and a new space that will bring Mexican cuisine specialties.
The new entertainment options will be more attractive to visitors. Due to the public success in previous editions, it will be two days of a floating pier fashion show. Leisure and cultural attractions, live music in the late afternoon will be some of the activities planned. A new edition of the event inspired by Miami brunch parties, the traditional Rock My Boat, should also take place during the show.
Menus with audio description for accessibility and participation of people with visual impairments will be another novelty of this edition. The use of ecological cups to reduce the use of disposable materials and the concept of pet friendly to receive families with pets, characteristics that had great adherence by participants in recent years, will also be maintained.
“We continue with our thought of being a tool for disseminating the nautical environment. Providing new audiences to participate in this movement. As a consequence, there is a heating up of the nautical market as a whole, which reflects in a series of other sectors ”, explains Marina Itajaí director Manuel Carlos Maia de Oliveira.
